History The origin of Yhudistira Mahabaratha

Yudhisthira is the eldest son of Pandu and Kunti, the king and queen of the Kuru Dynasty, with the administrative center at Hastinapura.

The first part of the Mahabharata Book (Adiparwa) tells of the curse that Pandu experienced after killing a brahmin named Resi Kindama by accident. The brahmin was hit by Pandu's arrow when he and his wife were copulating in the form of a pair of deer.

By the time of his death, Resi Kindama had cursed Pandu that one day he would die while having intercourse with his wife. Regretfully, Pandu abandons the throne of Hastinapura and begins life as a hermit in the forest to lessen lust. His two wives, Kunti and Madri, faithfully followed him. After a long period of unproduced descent, Pandu expressed his intention to have children.

Kunti who mastered Adityahredaya mantra immediately manifested her husband's wishes. The mantra is the science of the caller of the gods to get a son. By using that mantra, Kunti succeeds in bringing in the Dharma God and gaining the son's gift from him without going through intercourse. The first son was named Yudhisthira. Thus, Yudhisthira became the eldest son of Pandu, as a result of the giving of Dharma, the god of justice and wisdom.

YOUNG YUDHISTIRA

Yudhisthira and his four younger siblings, Bima (Bimasena), Arjuna, Nakula, and Sadewa returned to Hastinapura after their father (Pandu) passed away. At that time, Hastinapura was led by Dretarastra, Pandu's blind brother.  The five sons of Pandu-known as the Pandavas-made their cousins, the sons of Dretarastra (one hundred Kauravas led by Duryodana) envious.

Bisma (elder of the Kuru Dynasty) and Widura (prime minister) preferred Yudhishta rather than Dretarastra's son, so Duryodana felt anxious when Yudhisthira was crowned crown prince. Duryodana tried to get rid of the five Pandavas, especially the most powerful Bima.

Yudhisthira, on the other hand, always tried to keep Bima from replying to the actions of the Kauravas. Pandavas and Kauravas then studied the science of religion, law, and state administration rather than the Crepa Rishi. In the education, Yudhisthira appeared as the most intelligent student. Krepa is very supportive if the throne of Hastinapura submitted to the oldest Pandawa.

After that, Pandavas and Kauravas studied war science to Resi Drona. In this second education, Arjuna appeared as the most intelligent student, especially in the science of archery. Meanwhile, Yudhisthira himself is more skilled at using spear guns.

WEDDING YUDISTIRA

After surviving the murder conspiracy by Duryodana and Sangkuni, the Pandavas and Kunti went through the town of Ekachakra, then stayed temporarily in the kingdom of Panchala. Arjuna managed to win a contest in the kingdom and obtained a beautiful princess named Dropadi. Kunti inadvertently ordered that Draupadi be divided into five.

As a result, Draupadi became the fifth wife of Pandavas. From marriage to Yudhisthira, Draupadi gave birth to Pratiwindya. His second wife was named Dewika, the daughter of Gowasana of the Saibya tribe, and had a son named Yodeya.

BEING THE KING OF INDRAPRASTA

After marrying Draupadi, the Pandavas returned to Hastinapura and received a remarkable reception, except from Duryodana. The rivalry between the Pandavas and the Kauravas on the Hastinapura throne again took place.

The elders finally agreed to give Pandavas a part of the kingdom. Korawa gets Hastinapura palace, while Pandawa gets Kandawaprastha forest as a place to build a new palace. Although the area is very arid and haunted, but the Pandavas are willing to accept the area.

In addition to its area of nearly half the territory of the kingdom of Kuru, Kandawaprastha is also the capital of the former kingdom of Kuru, before Hastinapura. The Pandavas were assisted by their cousins, namely Krishna and Baladewa, and managed to open Kandawaprastha into new settlements.

The Pandavas then gained help from Wiswakarma, the skilled building master from the heaven, and also Anggaraparna of the Gandharwa nation. So created a magnificent and beautiful palace called Indraprastha, which means "city of god Indra".
